My practice is about psychotherapy, but psychotherapy that also includes understanding the effects of lifestyle and nutrition on psychological health and illnesses. With a background in psychotherapy, health coaching, and metabolic systems, the focus of work is not only on the emotional and cognitive aspects of suffering, but also on their functional root causes. These may be based in early childhood experiences, current stressors or trauma, even environmental toxins. They may also be affected by the kinds of genes we have and how they affect our metabolic and physiological processes.

My practice, then, focuses on traditional forms of psychotherapy – play therapy for children, interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive and behavioral methods – to solve problems, but also adds these other dimensions of healing to achieve high levels of psychological and personal functioning.

Please keep up with my Blog posts where I will reference and discuss the latest research relating to mental health, and review my current interests.
